About Us

spiced pecans In 1905, at the age of 6, Mr. B. Lloyd Woodall helped his father plant pecan trees. Twenty-five years later, using pecans from the trees he helped plant, Mr. “B. Lloyd” built his first pecan store near Barnesville, Georgia. From this modest beginning, the business expanded rapidly. At one point shortly before World War II, Mr. B. Lloyd was operating 14 stores in the Southeast. Signs reading “B. Lloyd’s” were seen up and down Southern highways like US 41 and US 301.

In 1939, a booth at the World’s Fair in New York introduced B. Lloyd’s products to millions. Shipments were made to points all over the United States and to servicemen and women overseas.

Although the last store was closed in the early 1990’s, B. Lloyd’s great products can still be purchased through our mail-order business. We invite you to taste the products that have made B. Lloyd’s successful for over 75 years.

The Process

pecan kettle Top Quality
Pecans are a way of life at B. Lloyds. We start with a family of pecan growers who have put generations of pecan growing know-how into every bag of nuts we produce. Using only the pecans from the world’s best pecan-producing trees, we mix technology with time-tested techniques to deliver the finest, highest quality nuts available on the market today. Using only mammoth and junior mammoth nuts from the best varieties of trees, we separate the “undesirable” nuts that don’t fit top standards in size, color and nut-to-shell ratio. We apply these same strict standards of quality to our cashews, almonds, pistachios and peanuts. For generations, our quality has made B. Lloyd’s America’s choice for great pecan treats.

Technology with Tradition
While we use the latest technology for everything from separating the “undesirable” nut from our mammoth nuts, to shelling and bagging them, we haven’t forgotten the tradition in preparing the delicious treats. B. Lloyds’ pecans are prepared one delicious treat at a time, in our old-style kettle pots. We realize part of what makes B. Lloyd’s unique is the quality we bring to our products that only tradition can provide.

Since 1930, when Americans think of pecan treats, they think: B. Lloyds.
